| | Miracle Sun-- Anthony Green | ] | Hi everybody! I'm back for more. (: I'm Caitlin, 19, from just outside of Boston, Massachusetts. I posted my day a couple weeks ago... This time, I actually ventured into the city. Sort of, anyway. Other info? Nursing student, daycare worker, music obsessor... Not too much of that applies to this day, though.
This is my 4th of July 2008, complete with typical cookouts and such... And the Boston fireworks display on the Charles River!
[60 pictures, counting the repeated teaser] ( BOOM sparkle sparkle, BOOM )
I hope you enjoy... Friends are loved! (: |

I really really dislike Planned Parenthood, not for the reasons most people that hate them hate them for. I know a few of you that love them and had great experiences with them but personally I will not set foot in another one even if I end up having to pay out of pocket for an exam in the future. I dislike them because every time I have been there for an exam, due to no insurance at the times, I was not treated well. From the time the doctor slapped my thigh during an exam while she was laughing to the multiple times they brought in the wrong charts I was annoyed. So, I switched which person I saw.
This takes the cake: I told the doctor that I was getting recurring yeast infections and getting more and more depressed as the month goes by. Like literally you can track my depression and my period on the same calender and it is unmistakable because they match. I asked if it could be the pills I was on. She responded that Oh no it couldn't be....she actually said this "It is probably in your head. Those are not side effects of Ortho Tri-cyclin."
Really? Number one I didn't have a problem with infections until taking these. Number two I have had a depression this bad since I was 18 and it started back up around the time of starting these. Number three: under "Side Effects" it lists...can ya guess.....depression and vaginal infections. So maybe just maybe there might be a connection.
After I pointed that out she said those were rare and did not think they were caused by the pills. I asked if we could change the pills or something and try. She said she didn't think it would help. I told her not to worry I would be consulting a new doctor. |

| 2 Young Adult of Juvinielle books |
[Jul. 5th, 2008|11:02 pm] |
I am thinking about 2 young adult/ juvineille books that I read a while ago.
The first one is about a brother and sister who move into and watch a house for an older couple with their flaky single mother and ( a bit of a spoiler) it turns out the house is owned by the mothers estranged parents and the brother set the whole thing up to reunite the family. I think the last name was Marquis or something like that. I also remember the girl was left home alone a lot while her family worked and befriended a neighbor who was elderly. The brother did lots of things to hide the fact that their grandparents owned the house like he told them not to sit on the front porch and he hid all the grandparent's personal items just in case the mom recognized them.
The second book is about this girl who's parents are hippies and they are staying in another families home for the summer. I remember the girl calls her parents by their first names and she has a theory that she is the only one who exists and her world is created by aliens. She thinks whenever her friend leaves she just disapears. I also remember the hippies killed the goldfish or something so they were constantly buying new ones.
I thought these books were written by Lois Lowry or Judy Blume but they aren't.
The books are most likely aimed at young teens.

This is my first post after lurking for a long time. Of course this was found on Etsy. I don't think I will ever tire of the ugly shit you can find on there. It's hours of entertainment.
